Diary this date NOW!
Schedule now available
You will
now find the schedule for 2011 available
here or you
can find printed copies at most of the
major Equine feed and Tack Outlets in
the area including Toomers, Elm Gove
Saddlery ,The Old Dairy Saddlery, Grant
Barnes and at local Veterinary
practices. There are in total 61 classes
covering most aspects of Equestrianism,
with cash prizes for the major class
or Championship in every ring. We have
tried to take on board the comments that
were received after last year’s Show so
that hopefully it will be even more
enjoyable.
Letters will shortly be sent out regarding the return of cups, please ensure that they have been engraved and are returned before the show - contact can be made via e-mail or telephone 01793 770862 to arrange their return- thank you.
The
support you gave us last year, together
with that from our Sponsors was
fantastic and 6 local and Equine
Charities benefited from a £2000
distribution. The main donation of £1000
went to The Wiltshire Air Ambulance, a
service we all hope that we will never
need, but know that help and support is
there in an emergency . The remaining
£1000 was equally divided between St
John Ambulance, Breach Lane Riding for
The Disabled, Kennet Valley Driving for
the Disabled, The Brooke Hospital and
World Horse Welfare.
All those who helped organise and run the show give their time voluntarily throughout the year to make this a great traditional village Horse Show , if you would like to help as a volunteer prior to or on the day, or know someone who would, please either call on 01793 770862 or send us an e-mail you will be most welcome. There are lots of areas that need help from the non- horsey Secretary’s tent, Catering, ring construction and general help to the horsey areas like the collecting rings. Non Competitors are always welcome- entry is free but we ask if you would make a donation- this can be made at the Secretary’s tent!
We are also most
grateful to the Cadets
and their Officers who
give up a day to help us
and again this year the
Air Cadets from the West
Swindon Squadron will be
on duty with us. They do
everything from parking,
replacing jumps and
taking rings sheets to
and from the Secretary’s
Tent, they really are a
great group of young
people.
So why not come
and join us and have a
great
day...........................
